Unlike other real estate methods, auctions utilize a team approach to selling property. Our real estate sales staff serve as project managers and oversee all the details to ensure customers needs are met. At the core of any auction is the marketing and advertising team that is challenged with bringing qualified buyers together to compete for real estate. From print advertising and telemarketing to Internet advertising and open houses, Roebuck Auctions uses the talents of every team member to ensure success on auction day. In the past 2 years, the Roebuck marketing team has been awarded ten first place awards in international marketing competitions sponsored by the USA Today. Our founder, John Roebuck, joined River City Auction in 1973 as an auctioneer and later bought the company. From the early furniture, fixtures and equipment sales for the Community Bank of Germantown and Western Auto stores, Roebuck has diligently built this company, now known as Roebuck Auctions, to nationwide status. A native Mid-Southerner, Roebuck introduced the concept of selling real estate at auction to the region. Past president and board chair for the National Auctioneers Association, Roebuck is known as a true pioneer in the auction industry. One of only 49 auctioneers to be inducted into the National Auctioneers Hall of Fame, he has been extremely active and successful in the auction business. Roebuck is the only individual to have served two terms as the President of the Tennessee Auctioneers Association. As a life member of the National Auctioneers Association, John continues to be one of the most respected leaders and trend-setters in the industry.

charitable auctions
Most charitable causes and civic organizations hold at least one event a year where they work to raise money through silent and live auctions. Many of these causes regularly use a professional auctioneer to entertain the bidders and ultimately raise more money. Like other auctioneers, the professionals at Roebuck Auctions regularly volunteer their talents to many of these organizations. But unlike many others, we take it one step further. Depending on the size of the room or the amount of people expected at the event, Roebuck Auctions will bring a complete auction team that includes the auctioneer, professional ringmen and bid spotters. We want to help ensure that your event is a major success. While president of the NAA, John Roebuck established St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the organization’s principal charity nationwide. A former auctioneer for the Tiger Woods Foundation, Roebuck’s charitable support extends to Jerry’s Kids, the Boys/Girls Clubs and the Girl Scouts of America with over $15 million raised to date. |
